Join us on October 18th for a day of workshops “Food – Nature – City: Convivial Practices” organised by CONVIVIUM together with our new partners in Gdańsk – HUBA, Fundacja Plony, Grid Arthub and Fundacja LAS. From the morning until afternoon, we will gather around a (garden) table and think together about convivial food in the city and what the present-day urban foodscapes of Gdańsk struggle with – and what we could do to address these challenges.
We will brainstorm about the following questions:
- What do food initiatives offer? Do they provide opportunities to meet and socialize?
- How do food initiatives approach accessibility and biodiversity? Do these initiatives foster diversity and conviviality?
- What imaginaries shape our thinking about convivial food?
- How does food change the urban space?
Through seminar sessions, collage making, mindfulness workshop, and foodscape mapping, we will explore what convivial practices we already know and what more we could do to make the city more food-friendly.
