The Provincial Labor Market Council is an opinion and advisory body of the Marshal of Pomorskie Voivodeship. Its main goal is to include labor market partners in the process of managing Labor Fund resources and programming and monitoring labor market policy at the regional level. The first meeting of the Council in the 2026-2029 term took place on January 14.

The meeting was opened by Leszek Bonna, Deputy Marshal of Pomorskie Voivodeship, who stressed that although the situation in the Pomeranian labor market is good, the region faces huge investment challenges.

The Council’s priorities in the coming years include:

  • Construction of offshore wind farms.
  • Implementation of Poland’s first nuclear power plant.
  • Matching education to the real needs of Pomeranian entrepreneurs.
  • Stimulating lifelong learning processes.

During the meeting, new authorities of the Council were elected. Dr. Slawomir Ostrowski, a member of the Pomeranian Regional Chamber of Commerce, became Chairman of the Council. The position of vice-chairman was assumed by Dr. Rafal Raczynski, coordinator of the Migration Observatory of the Center for Sustainable Development. Our sincere congratulations!
