A kick-off meeting for a new project, “Green and Resilient Future Industrial Training” (GREENFIT), of which the UG Center for Sustainable Development is a partner, will be held soon, January 22-23 at the Wellcome Centre (UG Library).

GREENFIT is an international project funded under the ERASMUS+ program, which aims to support the green transformation of the industrial sector. The project focuses on developing the practical competencies of employees in the area of sustainable development and responsible environmental practices.

As part of the project, a multilingual e-learning platform and training modules will be developed, 12 experts will be trained, and 100 employees from 50 companies will participate in pilots. Through classroom training, cooperation with industry and promotional activities, GREENFIT will support the implementation of green solutions in business and education in four countries: Poland, Turkey, Italy and Sweden.

Guests at the kick-off meeting will be welcomed by Dr. Ewa Szymczak, Prof. UG, Vice Chancellor for Education, Dr. hab. Sylwia Mrozowska, Prof. UG, Director of the UG Center for Sustainable Development, Dr. Barbara Kijewska, Prof. UG, project manager on behalf of UG, and Prof. Semih Akcomak from the Middle East Technical University in Ankara.
