On March 12, 2025, a meeting of partners of the Pomeranian Cooperation Platform for foreigners in the regional labor market was held in the Herb Room of the Marshal’s Office in Gdansk. The event brought together representatives of institutions, non-governmental organizations and experts who exchanged experiences in the field of legal employment and stay of foreigners.

Participants of the meeting were welcomed by Dariusz Gobis, deputy director of the WUP in Gdansk.

The meeting was attended by Rafał Raczyński, PhD, coordinator of the CZRUG Migration Observatory, who presented a diagnosis of the situation of foreigners in the Pomeranian labor market.

During the meeting, a new program to support economic self-reliance of Ukrainian citizens under temporary protection in Poland, implemented by the Polish Red Cross Pomeranian Regional Branch in Gdansk, was presented. Also presented was the latest information on the activities and plans for the development of the Center for Integration of Foreigners in Gdansk and Slupsk, organized by the Local Government of the Pomeranian Voivodeship with funds from the Asylum Migration and Integration Fund.

The event provided an opportunity to exchange and update information on the most common irregularities detected by the District Labor Inspectorate in Gdansk and the Maritime Branch of the Border Guard in 2024 in the field of legal employment (OIP) and legal stay of foreigners (SG) in our region, which can be used in the future to prepare a practical guide for employers and foreigners.
