On 25 September 2026, the Quadrille Hotel in Gdynia hosted the Polish-Cambodian Business Evening, organised by the Polish-Cambodian Economic Initiative. The meeting focused on opportunities for economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.

During the event, an initiative was presented to establish the Polish-Cambodian Chamber of Commerce, whose remit will be to support entrepreneurs in entering the Cambodian market, building partnerships and developing trade. Tourism and hospitality projects were also showcased.

The programme also included a presentation on diplomatic relations between Poland and Cambodia from 1999 to 2024. The special guests of the evening were Iwona Kmiecik, the first Polish woman to hold Cambodian citizenship, and Andrzej Supron, a sportsman, entrepreneur and investor.

The University of Gdańsk was represented by Dr hab. Anna Dziadkiewicz, prof. UG, and Vice-Dean for Internationalisation and Development at the Faculty of Management, and Monika Adamczuk, Project Manager at the University of Gdańsk Centre for Sustainable Development.
