On October 8–10, 2025, Nord University in Bodo, Norway, hosted the SEA-EU Inner Development Goals Hub Staff Week, bringing together academic and administrative staff from SEA-EU partner universities. The three-day meeting was dedicated to developing competencies related to Inner Development Goals (IDGs), which support the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and promote the creation of more conscious, responsible, and resilient academic communities.

Moniak Adamczuk and Szymon Gronowski participated in the workshops on behalf of the Center for Sustainable Development. The workshops were organized by Tove Holm from the Academic and Student Affairs Department at NORD University.

Participants learned about the five pillars of IDG—Being, Thinking, Relating, Collaborating, and Acting—and through workshops, exercises, and discussions, they developed skills related to self-awareness, collaboration, empathy, and implementing change in higher education institutions. An important element of the program was the joint search for ideas for the development of the future SEA-EU IDG Hub, which could support long-term activities in the area of sustainable development at the level of the entire alliance.

During the practical sessions, participants worked on projects combining IDGs and SDGs, analyzed examples of good practices from other universities, and developed individual and team plans for further action. The meeting ended with a summary session and a presentation of the preliminary directions for the development of the IDG initiative in SEA-EU.

The event was an opportunity to establish new relationships, exchange experiences, and develop competencies that can realistically support the transformation of universities towards sustainable development and social responsibility.
