25 staff members from Nord University in Norway visited the Centre for Sustainable Development on 24 September 2024. The meeting was part of a visit to the University of Gdansk as part of the SEA-EU 2.0 project.
Guests were welcomed by Irena Chawrilska, PhD, coordinator of the Centre for Sustainable Development’s new More than Human Studies Lab programme.
“During the meeting, we presented how we work at CZRUG, what are the main directions of our activities. During the presentation and discussion, the participants asked a lot of interesting questions about how we collect information for the rankings, how our library functions, how we work with local communities. We talked about the space of our university and how projects on our campus are changing the way we function in the city and affecting our well-being,” lists Irena Chawrilska, PhD.
The winning projects from the Green University of Gdansk Competition were also presented at the meeting. Five initiatives aimed at the sustainable development of the campus are underway. These include the projects ‘Green Haven Community Garden at BUG’ and ‘Living Herbariums: Native Meadows and UG Herbal Gardens’.
