From April 20–22, 2026, the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Gdańsk hosted a group of students and staff from Norway participating in the NORD Master Plus program, implemented in collaboration with Nord University as part of the SEA-EU alliance.
One of the highlights of the visit was the meeting “Exploring Research and Mentoring at the University of Gdańsk: People, Projects & Perspectives,” which took place on April 21. Its aim was to present a broad spectrum of research, teaching, and organizational activities carried out at the University of Gdańsk and to familiarize the guests with how the university operates. The meeting was attended by representatives of various units: Dr. hab. Tomasz Wiśniewski, Prof. UG (the “Inbetween. Pomiędzy,” Head of the Department of Performing Arts Research), Dr. Dorota Pomorska, Eng. (Team of Teaching Laboratories at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Gdańsk, and the Medical University of Gdańsk), Dr. Dorota Godlewska-Werner (Center for Teaching Excellence and Tutoring), and Magdalena Maciejewska, representing the University of Gdańsk Center for Sustainable Development.
For the third time, the University of Gdańsk hosted students from the MasterPlus program, creating a space for joint learning and the exchange of experiences. The visit by students and staff from Norway was another step in building lasting international relationships and strengthening academic cooperation, which is an essential element of efforts toward sustainable development and the internationalization of the University of Gdańsk.
