The next stage of the Green University of Gdansk competition has come to an end. The Competition Committee, which met on Wednesday 15 May, approved 15 projects for the voting stage. Electronic voting for the projects will take place from 20-27 May 2024.
The Green University of Gdansk competition is implemented as part of the SEA-EU 2.0 project funded by Erasmus+. Within the framework of the SEA-EU European University, changes will be implemented in stages, including through pilot activities of teams interested in a selected ‘green’ area of the University’s operation and the dissemination of good practices, such as ‘green research’, ‘green education’ or ‘green administration’.
The aim of the competition is to increase our commitment to the ecological and social transformation of the University of Gdansk. The entire academic community had the opportunity to participate in the competition: students and doctoral students, academic teachers and administrative staff.
Thirty projects were submitted for the competition. After the verification stage, the Competition Committee for the Green UG Competition headed by the Committee Chairperson, Anna Jurkowska-Zeidler, PhD, DSc, Prof UG, Prorector for International Cooperation, SEA-EU Project Coordinator at the University of Gdańsk, approved 15 applications. The approved projects will take part in the next stage of the competition – electronic voting, in which the entire University of Gdańsk community will be able to participate.
