During the World Earth Day, 22 April, UN Global Compact Network Poland together with WWF Poland, Youth Climate Strike, Polish Ecological Club, Masovian District, IKEA Retail Poland and Onet.pl launched a social campaign “YES! for Climate Education”. Within its framework, a petition was prepared addressed to the Minister of Education and Science, pointing to the need to introduce climate education to Polish schools. This petition is available on www.edukacjaklimatyczna.pl. During the inaugural meeting of the Round Table for Climate Education, in mid-July this year, the premiere of the comprehensive report “Climate Education in Poland” took place. The inaugural meeting of the Round Table for Climate Education in Poland took place on 15 July this year at the Warsaw School of Economics. On 24 September 2021, an organisational meeting on the organisation of sessions of the Round Table for Climate Education in Poland was held. During this meeting the University of Gdańsk was represented by Sylwia Mrozowska, PhD, DSc, ProfTit of the UG, the Director of the Centre for Sustainable Development. We will provide information on the sessions of the Round Table for Climate Education in Poland on a regular basis.
