Research and teaching staff member at the Department of Economic Informatics, Faculty of Management, University of Gdańsk. Lecturer, researcher and practitioner in the following areas: information systems design, business process management, enterprise architecture management, IT project management, energy efficiency management (building and network side) and data processing. He has authored and co-authored books and articles (mainly English-language) published in reputable JCR (Journal Citation Reports) journals. He has many years of experience as a project manager in the areas of information technology and energy efficiency management. He has built his competence and knowledge from the implementation of specialized tasks, through expert activities to managerial and management activities. Author, co-author and manager of many commercial and R&D projects, including grants funded from budgets:
- European Commission: co-author of an application to the European Commission for a grant under the SME Instrument H2020 project for the implementation of a Business Intelligence analytical platform. As part of the grant (funding of 50,000 euros), a feasibility study of a BI platform in the TELOS model was developed.
- NCBiR: in 2019, wrote and submitted an application for a research and development project on the design and manufacture of a Business Intelligence IT platform for property management and energy conservation. The application was submitted to the National Center for Research and Development within the framework of the competition for micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises awarded the Seal of Excellence in SME Instrument, Phase II (Horizon 2020) competitions (NCBiR grant application number: 01.01.01-00-0003/19, submission date: 15.04.2019, call number: 1/1.1.1/2019. Funding obtained for the research and development part totaled PLN 2,199,575.00 gr.; the budget of the entire project was PLN 3,195,275.00 gr.).
Member of NTIE (Scientific Society for Economic Informatics) and PIME (Polish Chamber of Energy Storage) working groups in the areas of financing and profitability of investments in electricity storage.
