During the UN DAY 2025 Gala, the UN Global Compact Network Poland’s “Yearbook 2025” was launched—an annual summary of activities, projects, and initiatives carried out as part of UN GCNP programs.
“Yearbook 2025 presents the key activities of UN Global Compact Network Poland over the last twelve months and includes inspiring voices and good practices from representatives of Polish businesses affiliated with UNGC. The articles published in the report show a wide range of activities undertaken by companies and institutions to implement Agenda 2030. The report was launched on October 24, 2025, during the UN DAY 2025 Gala, attended by representatives of the government, public administration, non-governmental organizations, business, ambassadors of UN Global Compact Network Poland, and representatives of the world of science, culture, and sport,” reads the UN Global Compact Network Poland website.
Pages 45–47 feature the article “Synergy of science and partnerships for energy transition: SDGs 7, 9, 13, and 17,” which presents the activities and initiatives of Gdańsk University of Technology and the University of Gdańsk in response to contemporary climate challenges. The information was prepared by Dr. hab. Sylwia Mrozowska, Prof. UG (Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at the University of Gdańsk), Marta Jankowska (CAS PG, Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility Team), and Karolina Sienkiewicz (Daniel Fahrenheit Association of Universities in Gdańsk).
“Strong partnerships in Pomerania – developed both through the Fahrenheit University Association and the network of cooperation between local authorities, business, and science – will not only allow us to influence reality, but also to adapt together to changing factors and priorities, develop, and care for the main motto of the Sustainable Development Goals: leave no one behind,” the publication reads.
