Sustainable development school – what should it be like? Participants of the conference, which took place on 18 and 19 May at the European Solidarity Center, tried to find an answer to this question.

The Conference School of Sustainable Development was attended by students of primary and secondary schools from the Tricity. The event began with a speech by Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, President of the City of Gdansk.

The event was full of lectures and workshops during which the participants had the opportunity to find out what sustainable development actually is – this question was answered by Barbara Kijewska, PhD, political scientist and coordinator of the internship program at the Centre for Sustainable Development UG. The students also talked about other important issues close to their hearts, such as environmental education, school self-governance or the institution of the Pupil Ombudsman.
