On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 15th Jubilee Conference of the Migration Research Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences we are pleased to invite you to submit proposals for thematic sessions within the conference that will take place 23–25 September 2026 in Gdańsk and Gdynia.
This year’s conference, “Emigration, Immigration, Integration in the Era of Social and Political Polarization,” will have an international and interdisciplinary character. The conference proceedings will be conducted in Polish and English, and proposals for thematic sessions may be submitted in either language.
The aim of the conference is to encourage in-depth reflection on migration processes –particularly in Central and Eastern Europe – in the context of growing social tensions, the politicization of public debates, and the challenges related to integration and the functioning of culturally diverse societies.
We encourage you to submit proposals for thematic sessions that:
- align with the main theme of the conference,
- address current and significant research challenges related to migration,
- promote interdisciplinary exchange of ideas and academic dialogue,
- combine theoretical and empirical perspectives or connect academic research with practice.
The deadline for submitting thematic session proposals is 3 April.
