About the studies
The University of Gdansk is launching the fourth edition of the postgraduate program Education for Sustainable Development: offshore wind energy, which is organized by the UG Center for Sustainable Development. This is a study with great potential, training personnel for one of the fastest growing energy sectors in Poland, Europe and the world.

The study is aimed at people who have at least a bachelor’s degree and are interested in working in the offshore wind energy sector, as well as all those who want to develop their competence in this area.
The study program includes 195 hours. During the course, students have the opportunity to learn about issues such as law in offshore wind energy, safety in offshore wind energy, management of offshore wind energy potential, business risk management, control of energy production in offshore wind farms, maritime spatial planning or offshore wind energy in the energy transition, among others. Graduates receive a certificate confirming the achievement of learning outcomes in terms of knowledge, skills and social competencies needed in offshore wind energy.

Offshore wind energy, as a newly emerging sector of the maritime economy in Poland, is an opportunity for professional development and socio-economic development of the Pomeranian region and Poland as a whole.
The offshore wind sector is meeting the challenges of offshore renewable energy development and will generate hundreds of new jobs over the next few years. The ambitious plans to build offshore wind farms in the Polish Exclusive Economic Zone of the Baltic Sea can be realized thanks to properly trained offshore sector personnel.
Specialized workers are needed from a wide range of industries directly or indirectly related to MEW, including specialists employed by public administration, private entities and NGOs.
Among our graduates and listeners are people with legal, economic, oceanographic and technical backgrounds. We are pleased to share our knowledge with people employed in the private and public sectors, including public administration and non-governmental organizations.

The program of postgraduate studies includes 195 hours.
The program of postgraduate studies defines the learning outcomes̨ for partial qualifications taking into account the characteristics of the second level of PRK at level VI and the acquisition of 30 ECTS points.

University of Gdansk, Gdansk University of Technology, Vice President of the Board of the Polish Offshore Wind Energy Association, independent industry consultant. Expert in supply chain and Polish market regulation for the sector. Co-author of the legal and system framework in this area.
prof. dr hab. Piotr Mickiewicz
University of Gdansk, graduate of UG and AMW, specializing, among other things, in issues of national maritime security and protection of maritime critical infrastructure. Co-author of the training system for inspection and control groups of the MW.
mgr Paweł Wróbel
BalticWind.EU,EU regulatory expert working with a number of energy transition organizations and think-tanks. He has worked at the European Commission and as Director of the Polish Electricity Committee in Brussels, representing major Polish energy companies at EU institutions.
dr Karolina Lipińska
Marshal's Office of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, innovation architect, local government official with 20 years of experience responsible for the development of entrepreneurship and innovation in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. She coordinates work related to the Regional Innovation Strategy, a key element of which is the Smart Specializations of Pomerania, as well as the Pomeranian Platform for Offshore Wind Energy Development in the Baltic Sea.

University of Gdansk, Doctor of Social Sciences in the discipline of management science and quality. Head of the Investment and Real Estate Department at the UG Faculty of Management. Specializes in the issues of physical investment management and urban development.
prof. dr hab. Jacek Zaucha
University of Gdansk, member of the Committee on Spatial Planning of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Co-author of the EU Territorial Agenda 2020, the Concept of National Spatial Planning, the first Polish Maritime Spatial Plan.

Candidates for Postgraduate Studies in Education for Sustainable Development: offshore wind energy may be persons who have completed at least a first degree.
Admission to the Postgraduate Studies Education for Sustainable Development: offshore wind energy is determined by the order of applications.
Limit of places: minimum: 28 people, maximum: 40 people
The amount of the semester fee
The semester fee for the edition starting in the 2024/2025 academic year is PLN 3,100.
The amount of the total fee
The total fee is £6,200.
